This is beyond doubt the best care home in Tayside. The management including Margaret and Claire go beyond and nothing is too much trouble. After over three years of infections and major health issues, we had no alternative but to place my dad in care. The team at Tigh Na Muirn have given my dad back the spring in his step. My mother too can now enjoy quality time with my father, which previously was impossible. The care staff including Rachel, Enya, Emma(*2), David (and many others) have been absolutely wonderful. The medical staff including Jen and all the doctors and practitioners from the Monifieth Health Centre have also been exceptional. The surroundings are beautiful, the activity team are fabulous. My father has blossomed in Tigh Na Muirn. We would not have thought it possible and words cannot fully convey our gratitude, or suitably portray the quality of care provided at Tign Na Muirn and the kindness and quality of the staff.

Ti Na Muirn is a disgrace. My parents have been forced to take anti-depressants there, it took three falls and a black eye on my father's side to bring disgraceful prescription practices by Doctors at Monifieth Medical Centre looking after the elderly in the home to light. While it may be convenient for the staff at the home to sedate elderly people in their care through the use of these dangerous drugs, it is certainly not to the benefit of those in their care. Since finding out, complaining and attempting to seek a satisfactory resolution to this highly questionable and unsatisfactory practice, my whole family has subsequently been demonized and banned from seeing my parents in Tigh Na Muirn, as well as banned from all contact, even contact on the telephone. This ban was the result of complete fabrication and lies from the General manager at Tigh Na Muirn, namely Margaret Moir, a highly inappropriate person to have in charge of a nursing home in our sad experience. A court case is about to begin which will hopefully see this issue resolved. If you are looking for a caring environment for your loved ones please avoid Tigh Na Muirn like the very plague itself, and ask any care home you are considering about it's prescription practices on the elderly.

This is definitely the best care home in the area, the quality of care and support provided to my mother I cannot recommend Tigh Na Muirn highly enough. Thank you to all and it is great to meet so many staff who genuinely do care for their residents and the support provided to their relatives.

How they can state on their website that their sole purpose is to care when it has been proven in a court of law that their actions caused the death of one of their residents is unbelievable! Absolute negligence!

Should be shut down,how can a resident get their hands on sanitiser and drink it,do not put your loved ones in this home folks !!!!!
