I rated this hotel 1 star overall but gave the hotel staff 5 stars*
The carpets had an overwhelming smell of mildew from the hallways to the rooms. we actually cancelled the reservation that night, luckily the hotel was nice about it. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a clean comfortable stay.

First impression isn’t good at all. I drove 12 hours to get here. Check in is at 4pm. I arrived at 550pm. Rooms are not clean. I was told at least an hour wait. I understand it’s hard to find help. Don’t sell rooms that you can not accommodate. The poor woman at the front counter is catching the rath and it’s not her fault. Do better Marriott

We stayed here five nights and the service was fantastic. A friendly greeting each time we entered the front door. Room was nicely cleaned daily. Breakfast had a variety of good choices and it rotated daily. The front desk clerk went over the top serving us on a couple different requests. Exercise room was clean. I’ve stayed at a lot of Marriott’s and enjoy the brand but this was so surprisingly good I had to write about it. And it wasn’t just one employee. They have a good thing going here.

Very worth the money to stay here! A few notes below:

Pros:
-Great (and large) rooms. Very well kept.
-Excellent staff
-Has a basketball/tennis court & lounge area out back
-Great breakfast!

Cons:
-Odd layout to the building. Some hallways don't connect where you need to go.
-Small parking lot (VERY small spaces), gets cramped quickly!

Walls are thin - can hear your neighbor flush their toilet. The breakfast area is too small to accommodate the capacity of the hotel.

We stay in Residence Inns as often as our budget allows! Great suites with kitchenettes and very comfortable beds. The staff is super friendly as well. This Residence Inn is four blocks from Lovelle Edwards Stadium. We booked it to cheer our OSU Cowboys vs BYU Cougers. Everyone in Provo is so nice and polite!

UPDATED 8/6... as I could not reply to Mgr

I was in room 328 from 7/31-8/5. WHITE is last name you have, as Marriott has never guaranteed my points staying in tact if I change my name to married one.

I'll not be back. Room was barely cleaned- floors filthy. I had to clean every surface before use & unpacking. Floors blackened the feet within 30 minutes... mostly kitchen, but carpet is in great need of cleaning. It's unlikely anyone had cleaned the pee around each toilet in a few bookings. Ugh.

I deep cleaned 1 bathroom & floor myself upon late arrival. Mgmt came up next morning, was told issues- but only thing recleaned was 2nd bath floor. 8 nights of this.

Plus bugs. Plus a broken closet door. Plus a barely usable couch, due to broken hide-away bed beneath.

I paid a small fortune for this mess... and my bill is more than original quote! No extras. Disappointing for this brand.

Front desk people were nice enough.
