STAY AWAY!
The website pictures are outdated and extremely deceiving. Driving up, letters are missing from the Conference Center sign and metal exterior trim on the building is rusting and peeling away from the walls (see pictures). The pool was 1/3 covered with a tarp and was half filled with green and black water.
Checking in at 4:00pm, there was a line of people waiting and only one person working the desk. The receptionist had no clue if there were any rooms available and kept saying that they just got on shift with no turnover. I spent 30 minutes waiting for a job that should take 5 minutes.
The parking lot is filled with garbage and a literal pile of poop. We should have walked away then. The stairwells were dark and also filled with trash. The strong smell of weed surrounded the entire motel as well as the interior of the room. All of the furniture and privacy curtains were dirty with dark smudges and the bath/shower look as if had not been cleaned in months. There were no towels, the phone did not work, the interior locks on the door were broken off, and the bed had BUGS crawling in/on them. We immediately packed up and GOT OUT OF THERE AS QUICK AS WE COULD and got another place for the night.
The nights shift receptionist was quick with refunding the charge and apologized after I showed them the pictures. However, I could tell that this was not the first time they had to refund and apologize to customers for the condition of their rooms and the amenities that Wyndham/La Quinta failed to provide.
It seems that Wyndham has forgotten about this La Quinta, or they just don’t care that there name is associated with this dump. Even as a last resort, I would not recommend this place.
Our experience at La Quinta, San Angelo gave a black eye to our trip to visit our child and their school.

I purchased 2 rooms for 1/08 checking out on 1/09. upon doing so room number 2 did not have a working heater so it was cold, the night staff said she would credit back for that room and as I checked out the following morning I mentioned to that new staff member the issue and she said she would make sure it was credited back and yet here we are 1/20 and both the charges are on my bank statement with no refund.
Room 146 and 147 were the rooms I got.
147 is the one with no heater and 146 was a mess not worth staying in but I needed to only because my daughter had a doctor's appointment at Shannon Hospital.
I doubt I would ever stay at this location again. plus 146 didn't even have working cable so to sit in the room doing nothing should be dropping these prices to 20 dollars a night.

Imagine arriving at your long-awaited destination, only to discover your pre-booked accommodation is a far cry from the relaxing haven you envisioned. Instead of a tranquil retreat, you're met with a scene straight out of a nightmare. The room is not just dirty; it's infested with bugs, crawling across surfaces and raising concerns about hygiene and health. The furniture, rather than offering comfort, is broken and unusable, perhaps a chair with a missing leg or a dresser drawer hanging precariously. The bedding, intended for rest and rejuvenation, is stained and unsanitary, making sleep an unsettling prospect. Moving further into the room, you notice the carpet, threadbare in several spots, revealing the bare floor beneath. Holes pock the walls, evidence of neglect and damage. And finally, the air itself assaults your senses with a pervasive and pungent odor of cat urine, making the room not only unpleasant but potentially uninhabitable.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The service was amazing from the moment I walked in. The front desk clerk was incredibly helpful and attentive, handling every need I had without hesitation, whether it was getting fresh towels, ensuring my room was cleaned to my liking, or helping me find local attractions. The front desk area was spotless and always smelled wonderful, which made every interaction even more pleasant.

While the rooms aren't perfect, they are clean and comfortable, which is exactly what I expected for the price. Overall, it's a friendly and well-maintained establishment, and I'd definitely stay here again!

DO NOT BOOK THIS MOTEL!!
We were looking for a cost effective stay for a quick trip visiting our son at the university. It has been our experience that La Quintas are usually clean and not too expensive.
No need paying big bucks for the amount of time we would actually be in the room. Immediately upon arriving at the property I could tell this would not be the same experience. The grounds are not kept well, and the lobby was dirty, dated and had a bad smell. We hoped our room would not be the same but it was even worse! The bed linens were stained, they were baby roaches in the dresser and bath tub. Every surface was filthy! We didn't even allow our kid to sit. On top of that the door would not close properly. We went back to the front desk and were told they could have someone go clean our room but not until later sometime. We asked for a refund and stayed elsewhere. Do not waste your time or money!

I really enjoy staying at this hotel for several reasons. First off, it’s in a fantastic location—right next to the highway, with plenty of shopping outlets, gas stations, and fast food chains nearby, which makes it super convenient for grabbing anything you need.

What really stands out to me, though, is the honesty of the hotel. I’ve never had to worry about them lying to me or anything going missing from my room, which is something I really appreciate. The rooms themselves are okay—nothing fancy, but they could use a little touch-up here and there. That said, the exceptional staff really makes up for it.

A special shoutout to the tall, friendly gentleman who supervises housekeeping. He’s always been so kind and makes sure everything is taken care of, along with his team. They do a fantastic job keeping my room clean and smelling amazing! If I ever have any issues or questions, I know I can always talk to them, and they’re more than happy to help.

Overall, I’m always satisfied with my stay here and will definitely continue coming back!

TRASH! We got this hotel for one night one room with a king bed get there and nope we don’t have a king bed just a room with two doubles so we take it. Get to the room the keys don’t work go back to the lobby that’s filthy and get new keys. Go back to the room and go in and everything was dirty stains everywhere shower was stained black then we seen roaches and that was it for me we packed up turned keys in and left. No one cared either they will always have bugs and nasty stained towels and bed linens. I’d sleep in my truck before even stepping foot on the property again!

The tv didn't work when we first got into the room it took them a while to fix it. The rug was all torn up in places, the bedding was dirty and stained, it honestly looked like they didn't replace the sheets after the last guests and just remake the bed. There were roaches crawling around, not enough towels and wash rags. I highly recommend that this place be avoided at all costs!!! It is a cheap hotel but not worth it!!!!!! Just all around nasty, I really was surprised I didn't see bed bugs and yes I looked. We had to switch a few rooms due to either TV or heater not working, by the time it was done we were too exhausted and it was late to even change hotels.
