It took three rooms to get one that was "acceptable". Listen, I know at this price point not to expect the Ritz or a Trump property, but clean (not aesthetically flawless) is a minimum expectation for any hotel room IMO. The first room was FILTHY. Not dirty, FILTHY. The sink and counter had not been cleaned and had food debris in it (a lot) and the mirror and faucet had toothpaste spit and splatter all over it and the bathroom floor was filthy as well. Carpet not vacuumed. Second room, a big improvement, but no hot water in the shower and not a single bar of soap or shampoo. The third room was found by the desk clerk (very helpful and understanding) finally met the minimum standard of clean, hot water and soap. Bottom line: the owner of this property is NOT doing the basics to keep the property up to ANY STANDARD. If you want a room in San Angelo, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Originally went because it was super cheap about $50-60 a night. You can tell it’s a super rundown hotel but you get what you pay for right? Well at night there was a group of about 10+ homeless people right next to my room having a LITERAL bonfire outside on the 2nd floor, being loud, screaming. Me and my boyfriend went back to the front desk and told them we didn’t feel safe and we would be checking out to find somewhere else and all the could do was give me a blank stare. Beware this place it is not safe and they do not care

Stay away. This place needs to be closed and completely gutted. What a dump, had to change rooms twice. Second room they gave me was not made up and socks were laying on the dresser. Third room was finally tolerable.

First room smelled like cat pee. Toilet was loose and smelt like sewage. Shower head was broken. Cobwebs in the corner of the room by the main door. The whole building is falling apart. Honestly, there are so many code violations going on here that it’s crazy. Do yourself a solid and find another hotel.

Positive: The beds were comfortable. The rooms had a mini fridge and a microwave. Good water pressure. Negative: I was disappointed in the breakfast. it lacked many options like other hotels have. Including but not limited to, eggs, no meat, or juices. It had waffles, toast, apples, there was 2 muffins and one day the batter for the waffles was 45 minutes late.

Says they changed their checkout time, had a woman knocking telling us we had four minutes to get out or pay for another night. Upon apologizing and explaining we thought we had another hour, she explained no, we decided to change it for this location. Was very rude and unprofessional. Just be aware the checkout time is different than posted online and for the booking.com website.

Positive: Excellent location. Negative: They put us upstairs and said the downstairs rooms were full. This was absolutely not true. The TV remote would not work. They did find another from the kitchen for us to use. The shower did not work in room 227.
